Although we are a public stable, our horses are OUR KIDS. They are treated with the love & care these magnificent & intelligent creatures deserve.
We have owned most of these horses several years, & have trained a lot of them also.
We usually do not saddle up the horses, unless we have an appointment coming in.
As when not needed, they are outside being horses!
Between rides, they are usually in stalls/shelters or under trees - out of the sun, & are given hay & water.
We don't ride mid-day in summer if it's extremely hot & humid; or in imminent T-Storms. Downpours, High Winds, or Hail - are also grounds for delay or possible cancellation. Too dangerous!
The horses get frequent baths all season, to remove sweat & keep their skin healthy.
They do not get sold off in the winter, traded for new in the spring; or any such thing.
If we can't keep them here, we find them a great 'Active Retirement' home !
