Although we are a public stable, our horses are OUR KIDS. They are treated with the love & care - these magnificent & intelligent creatures deserve.
We have owned most of these horses several years, & have trained alot of them also.
We usually do not saddle up the horses, unless we have appointments coming in.
As when not needed, they are outside being horses!
& Between rides, they are usually in stalls/shelters or under trees - out of the sun, & are given hay & water.
We don't ride mid-day in summer if it's extremely hot & humid; or in iminent T-Storms. Downpours, High Winds, or Hail - are also grounds for delay or possible cancel/re-schedule. Too dangerous!
The horses get frequent baths all season, to remove sweat & keep their skin healthy.
They do not get sold off in the winter, traded for new in the spring; or any such thing.
If we can't keep them here, we find them a great 'Active Retirement' home !
